Let’s care for the environment and raise staff awareness

We have decided to put our trust in a specialised partner for the hire of technical cloths for industrial cleaning and their washing using an environmentally friendly process, in order to:

• eliminate the use of paper
• consume fewer resources
• produce less waste
• recycle and dispose of waste correctly.

Officina Meccanica Genini has taken the decision to entrust a specialised partner with the hire of technical cloths for industrial cleaning and their washing using an environmentally friendly process. The cloths are delivered regularly to the premises in predetermined quantities; at the time of delivery, used cloths, placed in a suitable container, are collected. The soiled cloths undergo washing with water and non-aggressive, eco-friendly detergents, and the water used is subjected to a depuration process using a chemical-physical treatment, either alone or in combination with a biological treatment, in which the resulting oil is separated out and recycled or disposed of in accordance with legal requirements.
This has several significant aims:

• drastic reduction in the use of paper
• recycling of materials and substances: the technical cloths are in recycled cotton, oil is recovered where possible
• awareness among staff: there is a limited number of technical cloths and this means staff become more careful about their use
• protecting the environment through reduced consumption of resources, lower waste production and correct disposal of waste products

Another small step towards doing our bit to respect the environment.
